Catwalk

An industrial warehouse setting adds the biker element, with sand and cactus lining the runway to enforce the link to our Western trend. Saloon doors for the models to enter through, alongside weathered wooden benches for the guests to sit on add a more traditional element. Ethnic, gypsy textiles could also be draped across the ceiling to add a definate traveller edge.

Interior Applications

Modern architecture and clean lines are placed within a rural, western setting to add a really contemporary element. Materials such as exposed, weathered bricks are found alongside ethnic floor tiles add a key element of our gypsy theme.

In terms of furniture, simple block shapes and traditional leathers and cowskin rugs are combined with quirlier pieces adding in the element of pattern. This is also implemented through the ethinic textiles. Pieces collected from travells add a more personal element, with highly modern pieces such as the antler coathook resulting a really quirky mix.

Shop Windows

These images show how our styling could translate into a shop window setting and the lighting that could be used. We would use theatrical props such as cactus and sand to add more of a authenic feel. Perhaps cushions with ethnic gypsy patterns could pile against the windows to add thte traveler edge.

Photo Shoot

Used faded distressed denims, subtle checks and cowboy hats to represent the western theme, with leather jackets and belts to highlight the rochier biker edge. Soft lace and heavy beaded jewelery alongside ethnic patterned neck scarves add the eclectic traveler touch.
We have used soft warm tones in the lighting within the shoot to emphasise the western element and compliment the warm neutrals used in the costumes.

Location...Stables

Here are a few images of the stables where our photoshoot will be taking place. There is so many different props and objects that we could feature in our shoot, but these need to be finalised. The whole surrounding and area suit our concept well and we feel that this is the ideal place for the perfect shoot. :)

D & G Catwalk Collection Spring/Summer 2010

This current collection for spring/summer 2010 I found inspiring for our concept. With the western theme throughout both mens and womenswear. We intend to use both male and female models for our shoot, but mainly focusing on menswear. In particular we want to focus on the leather, fringing alongside denim but add the travelor twist of here today gone tomorrow. Looking at other knwon travellors aswell as cowboys. (Laura Taylor)
